Porcelain Veneers in Long Beach, CA

Veneers can completely reshape your teeth and smile. Because they’re made of porcelain, the veneers are customized to your natural teeth in both color and texture!

The veneer is an extremely thin shell that is bonded to the surface of your tooth to correct dental issues such as worn tooth enamel, tooth discoloration, uneven tooth spacing or alignment, and cracks or chips. The porcelain material is durable and long-lasting, so that you can enjoy a confident and attractive smile for many years to come.

Create a uniform, pearly-white smile that resolves all of your:

  • Crooked or misshapen teeth
  • Severely discolored or stained teeth
  • Teeth that are too small or large
  • Unwanted or uneven spaces
  • Worn or chipped teeth

The process of getting porcelain veneers typically requires two or more visits, depending on how many veneers you’d like to get.

Impressions and photos are taken of your teeth and a diagnostic wax-up is made that is a blueprint of what the final veneers may look. A “mock-up” is tried in over the teeth so you can see what the teeth may look like. This gives you and Dr. Coates a chance to make modifications to the blueprint. The mock-up can sometimes be worn home so you can have family and friends give you feedback.

At your next appointment your teeth are prepared by lightly buffing and shaping the surface to allow for the thickness of the veneer.

We’ll take mold impressions to create your porcelain veneers, and you will pick a color with Dr. Coates that best matches your adjacent teeth.

The “blueprint” will also be used to create temporary veneers that you will wear until the final product is ready.

While wearing your temporary veneers, you can visit us to make changes until you’re happy with their length and shape. We’ll send this info to the lab to match your final veneers.

At the second visit or final, your completed porcelain veneers will be bonded to your teeth and you can enjoy the long-lasting results of an attractive and confident smile.
