Human teeth as shark teeth are both made up of enamel (the hard, white outer layer) and dentin (the slightly softer, yellowed inside) so someone decided to test to see if human teeth were as tough as shark teeth. They looked at the Mako & Tiger sharks. They actually found that enamel was about 600% harder then dentin but the hardness of human & shark teeth were about the same.

What they didn’t look at was bite power so I looked it up and it turns out the largest great whites have a bite force of up to a whopping 2 tons (1.8 metric tons). That is more than three times that of the bite of an African lion and more than 20 times that of a human.
